Valerie belongs to the First Nation, Pukatawagan, in the Treaty Six territory in Northern Manitoba.
Valerie is a resilient, dedicated, professional and determined spirit whose aim is to track and follow the “forever footprints” of our ancestors that will lead us right where we belong.
She continues to live and thrive in my language, culture, traditions, and heritage as a writer, researcher, working professional, and storyteller with my lifelong companion, family, and generations before me. With great care, humility and respect, to follow the path that chose her as spoken by her Elders.
