UCN Student Jefferson Cook talks with Gord Bruyere, UCN Indigenous Curriculum Specialist, in the Oscar Lathlin Research Library. Gord and Jefferson discuss how the 7 Grandfather Teachings comprises the vision statement for UCN, the effect they have had on Gord's life, the teaching's origin, and the hope that sharing traditional teachings help individuals with their identity as an Indigenous person and reclaiming their culture . Gord also shares the traditional teaching of the Seven Grandfathers and the Little Boy as it fits into the Creation stories of the Anishinaabe people.
