Jamie Dumont is Red River Métis and grew up in St. Laurent, Manitoba. She is Principal and Co-Owner of Chadwick Consulting Ltd, and a consultant with over 13 years of senior central government experience with the Province of Manitoba, specializing in Indigenous and northern economic development. Jamie has worked with several Indigenous political organizations, governments, and communities, to create partnerships that advance key priorities in areas such as gaming, traditional land use planning, Indigenous protected areas, resource development, revenue sharing, and the establishment of economic development funds. Jamie is also a skilled workshop designer and facilitator, with experience in strategic planning, community engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and Accessibility Strategies, and employee engagement processes.
Jamie previously served as the Chair of the Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and currently sits on the board of directors of the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce and the Manitoba Mineral Development Fund, as well as the Truth and Reconciliation Advisory Council of the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation. In 2022, Jamie was re-elected as Trustee for Ward 1 of the Winnipeg School Division.
